✔️ How does Setfree Tablet work?

It works by preventing ovulation or implantation if taken before ovulation.

✔️ Side Effects of Setfree Tablet

Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, breast tenderness, and bleeding.

✔️ Quick Suggestions:

• Intended for occasional use only in women aged 16 years and over.
• Not to be used more than once in a monthly cycle.
• Not a substitute for long-term contraception.
• Take another tablet if vomiting occurs within 3 hours of initial tablet ingestion.
• Do not use if allergic to any ingredients, pregnant, or have had salpingitis (Fallopian tube inflammation).
• Consult a doctor before use if you have severe liver problems, severe digestive issues (e.g., Crohn’s disease), a history of ectopic pregnancy, fallopian tube surgery, pelvic inflammatory disease, or are under 16 years of age.
• Use caution if breastfeeding.
• May cause disturbances in the normal monthly cycle.
• If delayed period by more than 5 days, unusually light or heavy bleeding, consult a doctor and perform a pregnancy test.

✔️ Indication of Setfree Tablet

Setfree is a post-coital contraceptive, not for regular use, containing levonorgestrel.

✔️ Pharmacology

• Levonorgestrel inhibits ovulation by suppressing gonadotropins and LH surge.
• It's more effective when taken before ovulation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Setfree Tablet

• 1.5 mg Tablet: Take one tablet within 72 hours of intercourse.
• 0.75 mg Tablet: Take the first tablet within 72 hours and the second 12 hours later.
• Should be followed by a local contraceptive method until the next menstrual period.
• No acute toxicity was demonstrated with multiple doses. Efficacy is not guaranteed with missed doses.

✔️ Interaction

Interactions may occur with anticonvulsants, rifampicin, and griseofulvin, reducing efficacy.

✔️ Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to levonorgestrel or its components.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

• Not indicated during pregnancy. No adverse fetal effects were reported.
• Levonorgestrel is secreted in breast milk, breastfeeding is suggested immediately before taking each tablet.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Not a replacement for regular contraception.
• Not recommended for ectopic pregnancy, salpingitis, or severe digestive diseases.
• If vomiting within three hours after intake, take another tablet immediately.
